•$26 - $31•Onsite

About The Position

Galileo Learning is hiring a full-time, onsite Receiving and Distribution Coordinator to own the dock-to-distribution cycle for its warehouse operation. The role receives inbound raw goods and vendor-supplied partial kits, verifies completeness and accuracy, coordinates inventory put-away, and supports accurate distribution of finished kits to school sites. It serves as an important accuracy checkpoint in a bespoke, multi-product operation serving hundreds of school sites and partners. The coordinator works closely with the Supply Chain team and directly supervises seasonal temporary labor during peak distribution. The role also supports inventory activities and post-camp returns processing. Success requires accuracy, physical capability, and clear direction of others during high-volume periods. This position is based full-time onsite at 2350 Davis Avenue, Hayward, California. It is a full-time, non-exempt role averaging 40 hours per week. Seasonal peaks may require additional hours, including overtime. Compensation is approximately $26.00–$31.00 per hour.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in a warehouse, receiving, or distribution environment, with demonstrated ownership of a workflow.
  • Proficiency operating warehouse equipment, including forklifts, electric pickers, and pallet jacks.
  • Physical ability to unload and move boxes and stand for extended periods.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Ability to read English and work from packing lists and location labels across multiple sites simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to give clear, patient direction to seasonal temporary labor and adapt communication style to a changing work floor.
  • Experience informally leading, training, or directing temporary or seasonal labor.
  • Familiarity with computer-based inventory management systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in spoken Spanish.
  • Prior experience in a hyperseasonal or education-related operations environment.

  • Receive and process seasonal inbound shipments of raw goods, coordinating expected delivery schedules with the Procurement Manager.
  • Receive and verify vendor-supplied partial kits against bills of materials, confirming completeness and accuracy before coordinating put-away or handoff for in-house finishing.
  • Promptly report shipment discrepancies, shortages, and damaged goods to the Procurement Manager and Director.
  • After receiving shipments and processing purchase orders, coordinate with the Inventory Coordinator to ensure materials are shelved and logged accurately in the inventory management system.

  • Direct seasonal temporary labor in physical box movement and palletizing according to site-specific packing requirements.
  • Coordinate with the Inventory Coordinator and Logistics Manager to confirm pallet counts for scheduled pickups.
  • Verify pallet accuracy before outbound shipment, serving as a checkpoint between inventory pulling and final pallet verification by QC.
  • Supervise and direct seasonal temporary labor on physical distribution tasks during peak season.
  • Assign temporary workers tasks appropriate to their training, keeping physical box movement under direct supervision and not assigning independent equipment operation or accuracy-judgment tasks.
  • Communicate clearly and consistently to maintain accuracy and pace during high-volume palletizing periods.
  • Physically unload materials returned from camp sites at season’s end.
  • Support the QC Coordinator and Production team with initial sorting and staging of returned raw goods and electronics for testing.
  • Put away finished and processed materials after they have been sorted, boxed, and cleared by QC.
