About The Position

Reading Corps is hiring tutors to help students improve their reading skills at a local school. Tutors receive training in evidence-based activities and ongoing coaching. Each school day, tutors work with pairs of students for 20 minutes of reading practice, then help students return to their classrooms and move on to the next pair. Tutors encourage students as they develop their reading skills and confidence. The position is for the second half of the 2026–27 school year, from January 2027 through June 2027, at a school in West Park, Fresno. AmeriCorps members have a total service-hour commitment and may occasionally complete approved service or training outside the school day as needed.
