About The Position

The Ramp Agent supports airport operations by handling baggage and cargo safely and efficiently, helping provide a smooth airport experience. The role involves moving baggage and cargo between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities; operating motorized equipment; and interpreting aircraft loading instructions and routing documents. Work is primarily outdoors and takes place in varying weather conditions. The shift is 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. The position requires flexible availability for variable shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or six months of prior ramp agent work experience.
• Must pass all pre-employment testing, including a drug test.
• Must be capable of safely and continuously lifting up to 70 pounds.
• Must be able to proficiently speak, read, and write in English.
• Must have a current driver’s license with no violations over the past five years.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport and customs badges or seals.
• Must follow company safety, security, wellbeing, and compliance rules, including its substance misuse policy.

• Prior ramp experience.

Responsibilities

• Lift and move cargo and baggage on and off aircraft and transport it between aircraft, airport terminals, and air cargo facilities.
• Operate motorized equipment.
• Read and interpret aircraft weight and balance loading instructions, hazardous material identification labels, aircraft loading manifests, and baggage and cargo routing tags.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Take reasonable care of personal and others’ health, safety, and wellbeing at work, following provided information, training, and workplace safety rules and procedures.
