About The Position

Envoy Air is hiring a Part-Time Ramp Agent at Raleigh-Durham International Airport. This entry-level position requires no prior experience and includes paid on-the-job training and development. Ramp Agents load, unload, and sort freight, mail, and baggage safely while supporting on-time aircraft departures and arrivals. The work takes place outdoors in all weather conditions and includes operating company vehicles on the tarmac. Shifts may vary and may include irregular or extended hours, weekends, and holidays. The listed pay rate is $15.97 per hour. The position offers the possibility of overtime and shift trading. Fleet Service Clerk wages are governed by the contract between Envoy and the Transport Workers Union. The company pays 50% of the new hire employee’s first basic uniform set, with the employee paying the other 50%, unless prohibited by local or state law. At locations handling U.S. mail, employees must pass a U.S. Postal Service background check.

Requirements

• Be able to carry, bend, lift, and turn with bags weighing up to 75 pounds.
• Possess a valid, unexpired, and unsuspended REAL ID-compliant state driver’s license, or otherwise maintain the authority and identification necessary for business travel; some license restrictions may disqualify candidates.
• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• At locations handling U.S. mail, pass a U.S. Postal Service background check.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and sort freight, mail, and baggage safely.
• Help achieve on-time aircraft departures and arrivals.
• Operate company vehicles on the tarmac to transport bags to their destinations.
