About The Position

This is a travel assignment for a Radiology Tech specializing in Interventional Radiology in Los Angeles, CA. The contract is for 13 weeks, with a start date of 09/14/2026. The role involves performing Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and assisting with active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab. The setting is home healthcare - hospice. Extension opportunities are possible based on performance and needs. The position offers dedicated support throughout the assignment.

Requirements

  • California Radiologic Technologist (RT) license – Required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – Required
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS) – Required
  • Current nursing license per the state of assignment – Required
  • Associate’s Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent
  • At least two years of recent radiology/interventional experience

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT certification – Preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Cath Lab or Special Procedures experience preferred
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and assist with active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
  • Operate diagnostic imaging equipment to produce digital images of the heart and vascular system; position and immobilize patients per protocol; follow specified filming and radiation parameters.
  • Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures, including catheter guidance and use of complex equipment.
  • Initiate contrast media injections as directed; activate fluoroscopy and cinefluorography to aid procedural guidance.
  • Communicate clearly with patients before, during, and after procedures; provide procedure explanations and ensure patient comfort and safety.
  • Maintain equipment, adhere to sterile technique and Life Safety standards, and document procedures and findings per policy.
