About The Position

This is a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist position located in Los Angeles, California. The assignment is for a 13-week contract in a home healthcare - hospice setting. The role guarantees 36 hours per week with a 3x12-night shift pattern. The position involves performing Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations, assisting with interventional procedures, operating imaging equipment, preparing patients for specialized procedures, and providing patient care while ensuring safety and adherence to protocols. The technologist will also mentor colleagues and contribute to team training.

Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in radiologic technology preferred.
  • ARRT certification required.
  • Radiologic Technologist license in the practicing state (CA) required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR from an approved vendor required.
  • Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification required.
  • Department-specific: Prevention and Management of Violent Behavior (PVMB) or TEAM/CPI required.
  • At least two years of recent experience in the field.
  • Experience as a Special Procedures Technologist preferred.
  • Ability to work in a home healthcare - hospice setting.
  • Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to handle night shift and travel requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and assist with active interventional procedures in the cardiovascular lab.
  • Operate imaging equipment to produce diagnostic digital images as ordered by physicians; position and immobilize patients as required.
  • Prepare and assist in specialized interventional procedures, including catheter-based studies, under physician supervision.
  • Provide patient care and clear communication to support procedures, ensuring safety, sterility, and adherence to protocols.
  • Mentor colleagues on technical skills and contribute to team training as needed.
