About The Position
This is a travel assignment for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) in Westwood, New Jersey. The assignment is in a hospital-based Interventional Radiology unit and is expected to last several weeks. The role involves performing various interventional radiology procedures, managing vascular access, operating fluoroscopy, and supporting department operations. Prior travel experience and experience with Siemens single-plane IR suites are required.
Requirements
- Active ARRT (R) certification and BLS
- Current New Jersey state license or compact license in hand at submission
- Minimum 5 years IR-specific experience; strong interventional IR background; able to run department independently
- Travel experience required; prior travel assignments preferred
- Siemens single-plane IR suite experience and Epic charting experience
- 50-mile radius restriction: outside 50 miles from the assignment location
Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures (angiography, embolization, stent placement, IVC filter placement/removal)
- Handle vascular access (central lines, PICC, port placements) and ultrasound-guided access
- Operate fluoroscopy in a sterile field; maintain sterile technique and radiation safety
- Manage PACS/imaging equipment and documentation in the EHR; ensure accurate procedure notes
- Support department operations; lead the IR suite when needed and collaborate with the team to maintain efficiency and patient safety
