About The Position

This is a travel assignment for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) in Everett, WA. The role supports a busy IR service with multiple rooms and a broad range of procedures. Patient care, procedural support, and charting are conducted in EPIC. The assignment is for 13 weeks, starting on 09/21/2026, with a shift of 4x10 Days. The role requires commitment to holiday coverage and potential floating to nearby sister facilities. The position involves assisting Interventional Radiologists with various procedures, preparing and maintaining procedural rooms, operating imaging equipment, managing contrast administration, and monitoring patients. Collaboration with a multidisciplinary IR team and participation in call coverage are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Active Washington state radiologic technologist license (or valid compact/state license) in hand at submission
  • ARRT (R) certification
  • BLS certification
  • Minimum 2 years IR/Angio experience
  • EPIC charting experience
  • Strong sterile technique and C‑arm operation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced IR environment
  • Willingness to work 4x10 schedule and on-call as required
  • References: 2 required (covering 1 year within the last 3 years)

  • Preferred IR/OR room experience with familiarity across angiography/interventional procedures

Responsibilities

  • Assist Interventional Radiologists with a broad range of cerebral, peripheral, and visceral angiography/interventional procedures; support Y‑90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, biopsies, venous access, and drains as needed
  • Prepare procedures, maintain sterile technique, and operate C‑arm fluoroscopy and related imaging equipment; support CT/US guidance as required
  • Manage contrast administration, monitor patients, and document procedures in the electronic charting system (EPIC)
  • Prepare procedural rooms (3 single-plane IR rooms, 1 biplane, 1 hybrid) and maintain standard inventory and equipment readiness
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary IR team that may include 2 IRs, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1–2 vascular surgeons, and a PA/NP; participate in call coverage (approx. 5–7 days per month) with weekend on-call only when required
  • Adhere to facility policies on floating and on-call, and support patient safety, radiation safety, and sterile processing throughout the shift
