Quality Assurance Testing Manager
About The Position
At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing Manager leads software testing strategy and activities to improve the functionality of application systems across the organization. The position supports application development and collaborates with key associates to determine testing needs and develop strategy. It oversees manual and automated application testing and post-production validation, as well as complex testing projects, and serves as a lead subject-matter expert. The role also partners across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data to strengthen risk management, compliance, cybersecurity, and disciplined change management. This position is intended to be onsite now or in the near future, with regular work hours and full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager sets the work schedule, including in-office expectations. The position must be within a reasonable driving distance of Birmingham, Alabama. Relocation assistance and work visa sponsorship are not provided.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and eight years of quality experience, or a high school diploma or GED and twelve years of quality experience.
- Ability to effectively manage a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively with business leaders at various levels.
- Ability to research and analyze data and derive data-driven solutions.

- Must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

- Advanced knowledge of software implementation methodologies.

- Advanced knowledge of test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM).
- Management or supervisory experience.
- Working knowledge of Regions' testing standards.
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic plans for testing application systems across the organization.
- Manage comprehensive test plans and test case scenarios for new and existing products.
- Collaborate with analysts to interpret test data and implement improvements or modifications to better meet customer needs.
- Ensure the team complies with documentation policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement process improvement strategies with teams to create effective testing solutions.
- Oversee application testing and post-production validation using manual and automated methodologies as appropriate.
- Collaborate with teams responsible for non-functional testing, including performance testing, concert testing, and penetration testing.
- Oversee complex testing projects and contribute as a lead subject-matter expert.
- Identify pain points and technical knowledge gaps, and implement plans to address them.
- Collaborate with senior management to address staffing needs.
- Partner across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity and mitigate risk within the company's risk appetite.
- Evaluate risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, or services.
