About The Position

At Regions, the Quality Assurance Testing Manager leads software testing strategy and activities to improve application-system functionality across the organization. The position supports application development and collaborates with associates to determine testing needs and develop overall strategy. It oversees manual and automated application testing and post-production validation, and is based at the Riverchase Operations Center in Hoover, Alabama. The role is intended to be onsite now or in the near future, with regular work hours and full office days three or more days per week. The manager sets the work schedule and in-office expectations. The position must be within a reasonable driving distance of Birmingham, Alabama; relocation assistance is not provided. The position is exempt from FLSA timekeeping requirements and is not eligible for overtime. It is incentive eligible, including eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive plan and the Long Term Incentive Plan. Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis; Regions will not sponsor work visas for this position.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and eight years of quality experience, or a high school diploma or GED and twelve years of quality experience.

Responsibilities

Develop strategic plans for testing application systems across the organization.
Manage comprehensive, well-structured test plans and test-case scenarios for new and existing products.
Collaborate with analysts to interpret test data and implement improvements or modifications to better meet customer needs.
Ensure the team complies with documentation policies and procedures.
Develop and implement process-improvement strategies with teams to create effective testing solutions.
Oversee application testing and post-production validation using manual and automated methodologies as appropriate.
Collaborate as needed with teams responsible for non-functional testing, including performance testing, concert testing, and penetration testing.
Oversee complex testing projects and contribute as the lead subject-matter expert.
Use extensive experience and judgment to identify pain points and implement plans to address issues or technical knowledge gaps.
Collaborate with senior management to address staffing needs.
Partner across Technology, Operations, Digital, and Data (TODD) to ensure controls are designed, implemented, and monitored to strengthen risk management, compliance, and cybersecurity and mitigate risk within the company’s risk appetite.
Ensure disciplined change management by evaluating risk and control impacts when designing or implementing changes to processes, systems, products, or services.
