Quality Assurance Specialist 1- (ON-SITE)
About The Position
The Quality Assurance Specialist I supports the company’s quality management system (QMS) and helps ensure that manufacturing processes and products comply with internal procedures, customer requirements, and applicable aerospace industry standards. This entry-level position assists with documentation control, quality audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role works with production, engineering, and inspection teams and operates in a combination of office and manufacturing-floor settings. Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when on the production floor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily; reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Nice To Haves
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or an aerospace environment.
Responsibilities
- Support the maintenance and administration of the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Assist in ensuring compliance with aerospace quality standards such as AS9100.
- Review procedures, work instructions, and records for accuracy and compliance.
- Assist with internal audits and support external audits conducted by customers or certification bodies.
- Help track and maintain corrective and preventive action (CAPA) records.
- Monitor and report quality metrics and performance indicators.
- Assist in investigating nonconforming materials and quality issues.
- Support document control, including revision tracking and record retention.
- Work with production, engineering, and inspection teams to ensure quality requirements are understood and followed.
- Maintain quality records in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality system enhancement initiatives.
