About The Position
The Quality Assurance Officer 1 supports production schedules and quality processes by issuing and reviewing Master Batch Records (MBRs), managing expiration dates, controlling documents and records, inspecting materials and products, and handling non-conformities. The role also includes delivering new-hire training and completing projects assigned by the QA Manager or QA Supervisor. The schedule is 8:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:30 AM–5:30 PM, with flexibility. Pay is $19.23–$23.08, depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma and 2 years of experience in a GMP/FDA environment, or an associate's degree and 1 year of experience in a GMP/FDA environment.
- Ability to lift upwards of 30 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- B.A. or B.S. in a life science field is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Issue and review MBRs in support of the production schedule.
- Issue and confirm lot expiration dates for raw materials, components, and finished products.
- Create, review, and apply QA release labels.
- Ensure approved documents are issued and controlled.
- Ensure controlled records are controlled and easily retrievable.
- Perform visual inspections of raw materials, foil and labels, and AQL testing.
- Initiate non-conformity documentation and determine quality impact.
- Deliver new-hire training.
- Approve lot expiration dates.
- Disposition pre-raw/raw materials, components, and finished goods.
- Complete projects assigned by the QA Manager or QA Supervisor.
