Wagstaff manufactures equipment for aluminum producers. The Quality Assurance Technician ensures that quality standards are met by assessing products and processes against specific criteria using defined processes. The role also participates in improving quality standards and procedures related to manufactured products, team and company processes, the plant, and employees. The position works Monday through Thursday in 10-hour shifts. The work is primarily performed in an adequately lit, well-ventilated, climate-controlled general office environment and regularly involves close computer work with minimal physical exertion. Occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor may be required. The shop floor can involve exposure to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, moving equipment and parts, and other manufacturing-related risks. Coordination with shop-floor managers or employees may be necessary before entering, and appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing are required there. Office noise is usually moderate; shop-floor noise is often loud. Employment is dependent on successfully passing a company-paid drug screening and background check upon hire. Benefits eligibility is subject to the terms and conditions of Wagstaff policies, plans, and programs. Wagstaff is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
