About The Position

Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Public Areas Attendant to join Hotel 1928. The role maintains the cleanliness, presentation, and safety of hotel public spaces and supports laundry operations and the housekeeping team. The attendant also assists guests by responding to their needs, delivering requested items, and helping with guest room cleaning as needed. The position requires following established cleaning, laundry, safety, sanitation, chemical-handling, and equipment-operation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public areas, including the lobby, restrooms, elevators, stairways, hallways, and Front Desk area, to established quality standards.
• Clean public restrooms; dust furniture and pictures; and vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Inspect public restrooms at least once per hour and keep them clean, orderly, and properly stocked.
• Remove spots, insects, debris, and other visible imperfections from public areas; clean and polish fixtures; and keep areas free of rubbish and debris.
• Empty housekeeping carts of soiled linen and dispose of trash appropriately.
• Retrieve soiled linens from housekeeping and transport them to the laundry area.
• Sort linens by type and pre-treat stains as necessary.
• Operate laundry equipment to wash and dry linens according to established procedures.
• Fold, stack, organize, and store clean linens on designated shelving and linen carts.
• Monitor laundry equipment and promptly report maintenance or repair needs.
• Keep the laundry area clean, organized, and safe.
• Deliver requested items to guest rooms and assist with guest room cleaning as needed.
• Greet guests warmly, authentically, and professionally, and respond to guest needs with a service-focused attitude.
• Assist other Housekeeping team members to maintain hotel cleanliness, efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
• Follow established safety, sanitation, chemical-handling, and equipment-operation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
