Hotel 1928 Bus Person
About The Position
Collegiate Hotel Group is seeking a Bus Person (also described in the posting as a Food Runner) to join Hotel 1928. The role supports restaurant service by welcoming guests, delivering food, bussing and resetting tables, assisting wait staff, and completing side work. The employee is expected to understand menu offerings, be familiar with the hotel’s art and decor, and recommend local community destinations to guests. The position also requires following uniform and grooming specifications and performing other duties as assigned. The hiring process may include a phone interview, interviews with managers, a drug screen, background and reference checks, and a potential employment assessment. Compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process. Paid time off is available to eligible associates in accordance with company policy.
Requirements

Nice To Haves
- One year of experience in a similar or supportive role is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests.
- Deliver food orders according to restaurant needs.
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables throughout service.
- Understand menu offerings and speak knowledgeably about each item to customers.
- Become acquainted with the hotel’s art and decor and be able to discuss them.
- Know local places to recommend to guests as a spokesperson for the community.
- Complete side work duties.
- Assist wait staff as needed.
- Follow uniform and grooming specifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
