About The Position

The Patient Service Representative/Operator serves as the first line of customer service and public relations, ensuring that telephone calls are promptly processed. The role makes patient appointments, verifies insurance information, and maintains accurate, orderly schedules for clinic physicians. It also assists with front office Patient Service Representative duties as needed, may require travel to off-site clinics, and includes other duties as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least six months of customer service, general office, or receptionist vocational training experience; preferably in the medical field.
Ability to use a computer, printer, and necessary software programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position.
Ability to work calmly and respond courteously under pressure, collaborate, and accept direction.
Ability to think critically, manage multiple assignments, organize and prioritize workload, problem solve, recall information accurately, pay close attention to detail, and work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for in-person and telephone conversation and distinguish workplace sounds; and see well enough to read computer screens and necessary written documents.
Valid driver's license required at time of hire.
