About The Position

The rationale and problems of psychometric methods. Test construction and item analysis. Psychometric properties of tests: reliability, validity and standard error. The different types of norms. Intelligence, aptitude, interest and personality: Tests and models.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Psychology/Advanced knowledge in Psychometric Methods
  • Employees are required under provincial law to successfully complete all mandatory legislated training.
  • All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and permanent residents will be given priority.

Nice To Haves

  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and/or demonstrated experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the original assigned mode of course delivery (in-person or virtual) and may not be modified without prior approval from the Vice-Dean of Governance.
  • Promptly inform the School of Psychology Secretariat if a class needs to be cancelled.
  • Arrange for a suitable replacement instructor if aware in advance of an upcoming absence.
