About The Position

A community health center in Sacramento is hiring a psychiatric physician assistant or nurse practitioner to join its integrated care team. The work involves psychiatric evaluations and medication management, brief therapy as part of a team-based care model, care for co-occurring disorders including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and crisis and risk assessment alongside the care team.

Requirements

• Active California PA or NP license; NPs certified as a PMHNP, or 103/104 with psychiatric training
• Psychiatric certification, a psychiatric residency, or 2 to 3 years of psychiatric experience
• DEA registration and BLS
• Credentialing and privileging completed before start

Responsibilities

• Psychiatric evaluations and medication management
• Brief therapy as part of a team-based care model
• Care for co-occurring disorders, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
• Crisis and risk assessment alongside the care team
