About The Position

Geode Health is recruiting a Psychiatric Physician Assistant or Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to provide outpatient mental health services in the greater Omaha market. The provider may conduct initial mental health evaluations, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, manage medications, and provide supportive psychotherapy as clinically appropriate to patient needs. The role uses evidence-based, measurement-based care to track patient outcomes and inform treatment. Providers collaborate with psychiatrists and mental health therapists to coordinate medication management and psychotherapy. The position has a hybrid schedule, typically three days onsite and two days providing telehealth, with a possible four-day work week. More in-person work may be expected initially while building a caseload. Geode provides after-hours urgent support; the role has no nights, weekends, or on-call duties.

Requirements

• Active Psychiatric PA or PMHNP license in Nebraska.
• Active DEA license.
• Active CDS.
• Passion for high-quality care.
• Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills.
• Proficiency with an electronic medical record (EMR) system and ability to maintain accurate, current electronic health records.
• Desire and ability to treat a general spectrum of mental health conditions.

Nice To Haves

• More than one year of professional experience in an Advanced Practice Provider role.
• Experience in an outpatient work setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychiatric healthcare services, including initial mental health evaluations.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
