Mental Health Provider (Psychiatric PA or NP) - Georgetown, TX
About The Position
Geode Health is recruiting an Advance Practice Provider (Psychiatric PA or PMHNP) for the greater Austin market. The provider delivers outpatient psychiatric care, which may include initial mental health evaluations, individualized treatment planning, medication management, and supportive psychotherapy, as clinically appropriate for each patient's needs. The position is part of an integrated care team, partnering with psychiatrists and mental health therapists to coordinate medication management and psychotherapy. Providers use evidence-based, measurement-based care and patient outcome data to inform treatment plans. Geode provides support to help providers build their caseloads, along with administrative, marketing, and operational assistance. The role offers a hybrid schedule. Most providers work three days onsite and two days providing telehealth; a four-day workweek is also possible. More in-person work may be expected initially while the provider builds a caseload. There are no nights, weekends, or on-call duties; after-hours urgent support is provided by the organization.
Requirements
- Active Psychiatric PA or PMHNP license in Texas.
- Active DEA license.
- Psychiatric PAs must have at least one year of professional work experience.
- Passion for high-quality care.
- Excellent clinical knowledge and communication skills.
- Proficiency using an EMR system and maintaining accurate, up-to-date electronic health records.
- Desire and ability to treat a general spectrum of mental health conditions.

- More than one year of professional work experience in an Advanced Practice Provider role.
- Experience in an outpatient work setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric healthcare services, including initial mental health evaluations as appropriate.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Provide medication management and supportive psychotherapy as clinically appropriate to patient needs.
- Partner with psychiatrists and mental health therapists to coordinate medication management and psychotherapy.
- Use measurement-based care and outcome data to inform patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records for patient encounters.
- See a general spectrum of mental health conditions.
- Build a patient caseload with support from Geode Health.
