About The Position

The PSR Specialist delivers rehabilitative services to clients, including community living skills training, recreation and socialization services, pre-vocational skills development, and supportive and educational assistance for clients and families. The position is based in Marble Hill, Missouri, in Bollinger County, and is full-time, non-exempt. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; some evenings may be required depending on agency and client needs. The pay range is $20.00 to $22.40 per hour, varying based on prior experience. Travel in the employee’s own vehicle is required.

Requirements

• Meet one of the following qualification pathways: a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited university; any four-year combination of higher education and qualifying experience; or four years of qualifying experience.
• Qualifying experience must include delivering services to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• Hold or obtain by the start date a valid Missouri Class E driver’s license (or a Class D license for Illinois residents) and maintain current auto insurance.
• Travel in the employee’s own vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in initial screening to evaluate whether clients referred for PSR services are appropriate for the program.
• Participate in developing each client’s individual treatment plan.
• Provide transportation to and from community facilities and resources.
• Maintain a positive attitude toward the agency and its clientele.
• Provide daily living skills training, including assistance with nutrition, financial and home management, accessing community resources, recreation, pre-vocational services, development of support systems, diagnosis, and medication management.
• Provide crisis intervention services for clients enrolled in PSR services as needed.
• Monitor and assist clients with program compliance.
• Transport clients in an agency and/or personal vehicle as necessary and appropriate to meet program requirements.
• Document services according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and other applicable federal or state program requirements and agency standards.
