About The Position

Maytag Aircraft is seeking an entry-level Proposal Coordinator Intern to support the company’s growth initiatives in Department of Defense and Federal Government markets. The position provides administrative and operational support for business development, capture, and proposal activities, maintains opportunity data, and supports customer engagement. The ideal candidate has experience supporting government contractors and understands the federal acquisition environment.

Requirements

Associate degree required.
Minimum two years of experience supporting business development or operations within a government or defense contracting environment.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong attention to detail.
Highly organized and self-motivated.
Professional and customer-focused.
Ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal Government customers.
Familiarity with FAR-based procurements.
Experience with SAM.gov, GovWin, CRM systems, or similar business development tools.

Responsibilities

Maintain and track business opportunities within CRM and pipeline systems.
Monitor SAM.gov, GovWin, and other procurement sources for upcoming opportunities.
Coordinate customer meetings, industry events, and internal business development activities.
Support proposal and capture teams with document preparation and compliance tracking.
Assist in maintaining capability statements, presentations, and marketing materials.
Maintain past performance databases and contract reference information.
Manage proposal libraries and corporate templates.
Coordinate internal action items and meeting schedules.
