About The Position

Lakes Gas is hiring a local-route propane delivery driver with a Class B CDL. The driver delivers propane, tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing customer service. The role includes maintaining company and customer equipment, performing plant maintenance activities, inspecting the vehicle, and notifying a supervisor about needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. The position works outdoors in all weather conditions and offers home every night. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is available subject to the stated employment and license requirements.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or Class B commercial driver’s license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the required endorsements, without air brake restrictions.
• Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
• Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
• Ability to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
• Safety-conscious and customer-service-oriented approach.
• Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pull a delivery hose, and bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites.
• Provide customer service to customers on delivery routes.
• Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment.
• Perform plant maintenance activities.
• Operate and maintain handheld tablets.
• Inspect the vehicle and notify a supervisor of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
• Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.
• Maintain compliance with DOT requirements and complete DOT Hazmat training and maintenance every three years.
