About The Position

Lakes Gas is hiring a local-route Propane Cylinder Delivery Driver to deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites while providing first-class customer service. This Class B CDL position offers home-every-night routes. The driver also helps maintain company and customer equipment and performs plant maintenance activities. Work takes place outdoors in varying weather conditions. A $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, with payouts subject to the stated employment, license, and good-standing requirements.

Requirements

Valid Class A or B commercial driver's license with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain the required endorsements; no air-brake restrictions.
Clean driving record verifiable by a Federal Motor Vehicle Report.
Ability to pass a DOT physical and maintain a Federal DOT medical card.
Ability to read, write, and clearly communicate in English.
Ability to comply with federal drug and alcohol testing requirements.
Safety-conscious and customer-service-oriented.
Ability to operate and maintain handheld tablets.
Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pull a delivery hose, and bend, climb, reach, and rotate as needed.

Responsibilities

Deliver propane, propane tanks, and cylinders to residential and commercial sites.
Provide first-class customer service.
Maintain and upkeep company and customer equipment.
Perform plant maintenance activities.
Inspect the vehicle and notify a supervisor about needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance.
Operate and maintain handheld tablets.
Fill, load, secure, and deliver propane cylinders or bulk propane.
Maintain compliance with DOT requirements, including hazmat training and maintenance every three years.
