We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Project Manager II to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. Responsibilities
- Provide project oversight and ensure the success of the contractual effort.
- Utilize specific programmatic and/or technical experience to effectively manage projects within the designated area.
- Solve technical, administrative, and managerial problems, adjusting strategies and resources as necessary.
- Interface with the customer's technical point of contact to ensure that tasks are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, regularly monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, facilitating communication and coordination to achieve project goals.
- Present project status updates and reports to stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of professional experience in project management.
- Specific programmatic and/or technical experience in the areas covered by the contractual effort.
- Proven ability to solve technical, administrative, and managerial problems.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- MS Office suite skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Outlook, etc.)
- Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience managing programs in the VA or experience managing VA telehealth or VA home health, or experience in a commercial setting in the management or development of digital health products and/or programs.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar certification.
- Experience working with government agencies or in the health care industry.
- Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
- Experience in managing virtual or telehealth projects.
