Jira/Power BI Developer

We are seeking an experienced Jira/Power BI Developer to support the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Jira and Power BI Developer, you will play a crucial role in creating and maintaining Jira and Power BI solutions to support project management and data visualization for the project. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with program and project managers, designing and developing Jira solutions, creating and customizing input forms, developing and maintaining Power BI dashboards, troubleshooting and resolving issues, providing training and support to users, and continuously improving Jira and Power BI solutions.

• Collaborate with Program and Project Managers to design and develop Jira solutions for tracking project status, dependencies, and conflicts.
• Create and customize input forms in Jira to collect project data and support dynamic project views.
• Map out timelines and create GANTT charts in Jira.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to present data from Jira in various views, tailored to the needs of different stakeholders.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide recommendations for Jira and Power BI best practices and solutions.
• Assist in the integration of Jira with other tools and systems, as required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to Jira and Power BI performance, functionality, and user access.
• Provide training and support to users, ensuring they can effectively utilize Jira and Power BI solutions.
• Continuously monitor and improve Jira and Power BI solutions based on user feedback and evolving requirements.
• Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in Jira and Power BI development.

• Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in Jira and Power BI development.
• In-depth knowledge of Jira and Power BI, including customization, integration, and administration.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or similar healthcare organizations (preferred).
• Familiarity with project management methodologies and best practices (preferred).
• Experience integrating Jira with other tools and systems (preferred).
• Certifications in Jira and Power BI development or administration (preferred).
