About The Position

The Professional Security Officer helps maintain a safe and secure environment for clients by actively monitoring premises and patrolling locations. Officers preserve order by enforcing regulations and directives for a client site related to personnel, visitors, and the area. They observe and report activities and incidents, helping protect client property and personnel, and frequently provide customer service and information to clients’ employees and customers. No experience is necessary; training is provided. The posting lists both full-time and part-time schedules. The full-time schedule is Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Tuesday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM; and Wednesday and Thursday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. The part-time schedule is Tuesday through Thursday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. The wage is $18.50 per hour.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Excellent customer service skills.
Pass a drug screen and background check.
Meet and continue to meet applicable state, county, and municipal licensing requirements for Security Officers/Guards.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking, potentially for long periods; the work may involve climbing stairs and walking on inclines and uneven terrain.
Frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.

Retail, food service, or hospitality industry background is identified as a good fit, but is not required.
