The Faculty of Engineering, specifically the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach Introduction to Telecommunication Systems (ELG3575 Section A) during the 2027 Winter Semester. The course covers linear systems, sampling theorem, Fourier analysis, linear modulation methods (single-sideband, double-sideband, vestigial, quadrature-phase, AM with carrier), superheterodyne receivers, phase and frequency modulation, Carson's rule, frequency demodulation, basic digital modulation techniques (ASK, PSK, FSK), bandwidth for PAM (Nyquist criterion), pulse modulation and coding, and an introduction to error control coding and information theory. The course will be delivered in person, and the professor is expected to attend tutorials for an average of one hour per week, with the contract including 52 hours of work.
