About The Position

The University of Ottawa is seeking a Regular Part-Time Professor to teach ENG1140 B00, Introduction to Indigenous Literatures, during the 2027 Winter Semester. This course will introduce students to traditional and contemporary Indigenous Literatures, with potential variations in genres, forms, topics, and regions of focus. The position is within the Department of English in the Faculty of Arts. The expected enrollment is 45 students, and the course is worth 3 credits. The language of instruction is English.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in English.
  • Research expertise and publications in Indigenous Literatures are strongly preferred.
  • An acceptable level of education and/or experience may be considered equivalent to the required education and/or demonstrated experience.
  • Ability to complete all mandatory legislated training.
