About The Position

Closet Factory is hiring a full-time Production Woodworking Associate for its Indianapolis factory team. The associate will help manufacture and assemble custom closets and home organization systems to precise design specifications, using traditional tools and production equipment such as a sliding table saw and edge bander. Applicants with all levels of experience, including motivated beginners, are welcome; comprehensive training is provided. The position offers 40 or more hours per week and pays $17–$22 per hour depending on experience and skill level, with pay issued biweekly. Work is performed in person.

Requirements

• Prior woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing/factory experience is preferred but not required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and comfort learning new equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Ability to stand, lift, and perform physical tasks for a full shift.
• Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.

Nice To Haves

• Prior woodworking, cabinetry, or manufacturing/factory experience.

Responsibilities

• Measure, cut, and prepare custom wood and melamine components to exact specifications.
• Operate and assist with production machinery, including a sliding table saw, edge bander, and other boring equipment.
• Assemble components and collaborate with team members to meet daily production targets.
• Perform quality checks to ensure finished pieces meet design and craftsmanship standards.
• Follow safety protocols for equipment operation and material handling.
• Keep the production floor organized and maintain equipment and workspace cleanliness.
• Assist with moving materials between workstations as needed.
• Train and work with the commercial sliding table saw to cut material to fit.
