About The Position

The Production Support Associate is a member of Perry’s production team and is responsible for adding ingredients to ice cream, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and packaging products. The role also assists production and sanitation teams as needed, including helping floor and sanitation technicians during changeovers. The work takes place in a fast-paced, safety- and value-oriented environment. Employees may briefly enter an environment as cold as -20 degrees.

Requirements

• High school diploma, HSE, or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to be payrolled through a temporary staffing service.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, maintain footing on wet or icy floors, and stand for the entire shift.
• Ability to continuously push, pull, and lift up to 60 lbs.
• Ability to briefly enter an extreme environment of -20 degrees.
• Ability to use proper lifting and bending techniques.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written directions.
• Reliability, dependability, and ability to thrive in a team environment.
• Good basic math skills.
• Safety-toed boots or shoes are required.

Responsibilities

• Add ingredients to ice cream, including lifting and pouring 50–60 lb pails of sauces and 20–30 lb boxes of other ingredients every 3–5 minutes.
• Perform general housekeeping and package products.
• Keep the work area clean and safe while performing other duties.
• Assist production and sanitation teams in other areas as needed.
• Help floor technicians and sanitation technicians when needed, especially during changeovers.
• Support the production of safe, high-quality products and team member safety.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMPs).
