About The Position

This is a DoD SkillBridge Internship position for a Production Supervisor, reporting to the Manufacturing Manager. The role involves mentoring the production team to ensure adherence to established procedures for quality product manufacturing in a safety-focused environment. The Production Supervisor will actively promote a positive work atmosphere that values employee input.

Requirements

  • Must be an active-duty U.S. Military Service Member who qualifies for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program.
  • High school degree or equivalent; technical degree desired.
  • Three years of supervisory experience in a production work environment.
  • Knowledge, experience, and understanding of manufacturing safety, processes, flow, schedules, delivery, etc., desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software; knowledge of IFS is preferred.
  • Strong leadership skills with an entrepreneurial mindset to contribute to excellence in manufacturing.
  • Ability to drive a forklift or complete training to obtain forklift license.
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills.
  • Proficiency with computers.
  • Understanding of production schedules and demand and delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Team Leads to direct production activities in accordance with the production schedule and established priorities while maximizing the utilization of assigned resources, machines, personnel, and materials.
  • Perform regular audits of products to verify quality integrity.
  • Provide leadership to maintain high standards of work.
  • Work with Team Leads to assess employee talent and developmental needs. Develop and maintain a skills matrix and training plans for employees.
  • Encourage team members to actively participate in idea generation regarding changes to production methods, processes, or equipment.
  • Assist team members in the interpretation of procedures, methods, and correct use of production equipment to ensure compliance.
  • Conduct employee performance reviews and establish career development plans.
  • Address complaints and resolve issues in accordance with company policies.
  • Enforce a culture that prioritizes safety by operating as a safety advocate for the department.
  • Understand the AROW Business System policy and objectives and how you affect conformance to them.
