Production Coordinator, On-Call
About The Position
Production Coordinators support the QVC and HSN brands as members of studio production teams, executing production activities in QVC studio environments. The role prepares on-set product displays and demonstrations for live studio and remote programming, as well as non-live programming, in accordance with show strategy, operational requirements, and safety protocols. Coordinators work with producers, directors, hosts, guests, celebrities, and vendors to confirm, support, and implement production plans. This is an onsite, part-time, on-call role based at QVC's headquarters in West Chester, Pennsylvania. The team provides coverage 22 hours per day, with shifts typically lasting 10 hours and starting as early as 5 a.m. or ending as late as 3 a.m. Candidates must be available to work any shift and any day of the week. Schedules are provided at least one month in advance. Relocation assistance is not available.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Television/Media Production, Communication, or a related field, or equivalent background experience.
- At least 6 months of recent, directly related studio production experience in a live television or film studio environment, working on a live set in a similar environment and role.
- Working knowledge of production basics, including lighting, camera blocking, and set movement.
- Availability to work any shift and any day of the week.
Responsibilities
- Prepare on-set product displays and demonstrations for live studio and remote programming and non-live programming, following show strategy, operational requirements, and safety protocols.
- Serve as the eyes and ears of show producers and directors on the studio floor during show execution.
- Anticipate, identify, and communicate issues that may affect production.
- Work with hosts, guests, celebrities, vendors, producers, and directors to confirm, support, and implement the production plan.
- Support producers, directors, talent, and studio staff in executing production activities.
- Make real-time decisions in a fast-paced live television environment that affect the execution of live programming.
