Product Marketing Manager, Customer & Lifecycle

PreVeil Inc•Boston, MA
•$160,000 - $180,000

About The Position

PreVeil is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to consolidate and build its customer-facing marketing function. This is a deeply technical, hands-on individual-contributor role serving customers such as IT leaders, compliance officers, and founders at defense contractors. The role requires accurately interpreting technical topics, product documentation, encryption, and CMMC scoping, and translating them into precise customer-facing content. Working closely with Customer Success and Support, the manager will own product knowledge and technical content, customer lifecycle communications, customer evidence and advocacy, customer-voice feedback into marketing, and AI workflows that support these programs. The position reports to the VP of Marketing and is supported by a team of marketers. The role is Boston-based or requires the ability to collaborate in person at least one day per week. The first six months are expected to include rebuilding and maintaining the knowledgebase, launching and testing an onboarding experience, establishing a dependable newsletter and webinar calendar, making relevant customer references available to Sales across served industries, generating a steady stream of G2 and Capterra reviews, and building AI workflows that increase the scope of work one person can cover.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in product marketing, customer marketing, or a related technical role at a B2B SaaS company.
  • Experience running customer programs such as references, reviews, advocacy, or lifecycle email.
  • Technical background sufficient to discuss encryption and compliance scoping and write accurately without an engineer rewriting the draft.
  • Uses AI as a production tool, rather than only sending occasional prompts.
  • Clear writing and strong editing skills, with the ability to hold technical conversations with customers.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how products work and why customers choose them.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly given that customers are audited on company communications.
  • Ability to build trust across Customer Success, Support, Marketing, Sales, and with customers.
  • Self-sufficient and able to own programs and set an independent pace.
  • Boston-based or able to collaborate in person at least one day per week.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Support to audit, rewrite, and rebuild the customer knowledgebase for accessibility to customers and internal AI bots; maintain accurate knowledgebase content.
  • Own the strategy, calendar, and results for automated welcome and onboarding emails, the customer newsletter, and customer webinars.
  • Produce case studies and customer one-pagers; run the AE-customer reference program; support G2 and Capterra reviews and light customer marketing, including gifting.
  • Bring customer insights and evidence into Marketing to improve the alignment of the website and product narrative with customer experience.
  • Build and extend AI workflows, including workflows for drafting and maintaining knowledgebase articles, mining SDR, AE, and CSM calls for use cases and customer language, and continuously monitoring competitors.
  • Partner closely with Customer Success and Support as sources of customer knowledge.
  • Launch, A/B test, and track an onboarding experience to improve activation.
  • Establish a reliable newsletter and webinar calendar and improve engagement.
  • Ensure Sales can access relevant reference customers across the industries served.
  • Develop AI workflows that enable broader program coverage.
