About The Position

ID.me is hiring a Product Marketing Manager to own marketing for its consumer-facing digital identity wallet and verification experience. The role focuses on helping individuals understand, trust, and complete identity-verification journeys, as well as marketing products people may choose voluntarily, including the ID.me Wallet, a government services and benefits hub, and shopping discounts. It is not classic consumer acquisition marketing: many users arrive through a government, agency, or retailer partner, and the role must build consumer trust in digital identity verification and management while supporting measurable transaction growth. The manager partners across Product, Engineering, Design, Trust & Safety, Legal, Compliance, and Communications/PR. The position owns consumer positioning and messaging, product-launch go-to-market, lifecycle communications, consumer research, and voice-of-customer synthesis. It also represents end-user trust and usability in a company whose commercial relationships are primarily business-to-government and business-to-business. ID.me describes its culture as full-time and in-office; unless a posting specifies otherwise, roles are on-site five days per week at an office in McLean, Virginia; Mountain View, California; New York City; or Tampa, Florida.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of product marketing experience.
  • Experience working with Product, Engineering, and Design on launches, product overviews, positioning, and lifecycle communications.
  • Comfort working with funnel and completion metrics, rather than relying only on brand-awareness metrics.
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Trust & Safety, or Compliance on external-facing language.
  • Excellent written communication skills and comfort with frequent legal review and redlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to regulated, trust-sensitive, or security/identity categories such as fintech, healthcare, or insurance.

Responsibilities

  • Own positioning and messaging for the consumer-facing digital identity wallet and verification experience, using clear and honest language about data collection, use, and protection.
  • Partner with Product, Trust & Safety, and Legal to explain privacy and security practices in consumer-facing communications that build trust.
  • Drive transaction growth through improved product messaging, in-flow copy, and lifecycle communications, using funnel and completion metrics.
  • Lead go-to-market efforts for consumer-facing feature launches, including Wallet updates, commerce and affiliate program expansion, and self-service account features.
  • Develop internal messaging houses and external consumer communications that are understandable, distinctive, and consistent across blog posts, social media, the help center, and member support.
  • Represent the end consumer internally and advocate for consumer trust and usability when partner requirements conflict with them.
  • Own consumer research and synthesize voice-of-customer insights to inform marketing and product roadmaps.
  • Monitor and respond to public sentiment and reputation issues relating to identity verification and biometric data, coordinating with Communications/PR as appropriate.
