The Product Manager will own Revel’s platform, including software installation and updates, organizational access controls, APIs and SDKs, and the fleet manager for deployments and upgrades. Revel operates test and control systems for customers building high-stakes hardware, and many customers run the software in their own facilities, including fully air-gapped sites. The role is responsible for the platform from strategy through launch and for determining its future direction. The Product Manager will own access and administration capabilities such as SSO, role-based access control, admin tooling, user preferences, and system health. They will set API and SDK strategy, partner with platform engineering on architecture, and own product decisions involving multitenancy, scale, and reliability. The role includes discovery with customer administrators, IT and security teams, and forward deployed engineers; end-to-end ownership of connected and offline deployment and upgrade experiences; and defining metrics such as upgrade success rate, time to upgrade, organization onboarding time, and support load per installation. The role works closely with engineers building deployment, infrastructure, and runtime systems, as well as design, front-end engineering, and field deployment engineers. It has direct exposure to the Head of Product and CEO and close feedback from customers operating high-stakes systems.
