About The Position

Enova’s Platform Product Management Team is seeking a Product Manager to own and drive the tools, services, and platforms that help software engineers build and ship faster, including adoption of AI across the software development lifecycle. The role shapes product strategy for the internal developer platform, including the developer portal, on-demand environments, shared libraries, AI-powered developer tools, and tools supporting software development, testing, security, and deployment. The Product Manager treats engineers as customers and partners closely with the Developer Experience team, engineering teams across the company, and technology leadership. The role identifies friction in the development lifecycle, defines solutions, and drives execution to produce measurable improvements in developer productivity. It also leads efforts to help engineers adopt AI tools safely and effectively, from AI coding assistants to internal AI agents and integrations. This is a highly collaborative role requiring strong product and project management skills. The role is hybrid, with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday and remote flexibility on Mondays and Fridays. Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States; visa sponsorship and sponsorship transfers are not available. The budgeted annual salary range is $90,000–$125,000, with actual salary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and assessed level and potentially outside that range. Additional compensation may include a bonus.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of product management, technical program management, or business analysis experience; ideally involving internal platforms, developer tools, or infrastructure products.
  • Working knowledge of the software development lifecycle and modern engineering practices, such as CI/CD, testing automation, containerized or cloud environments, and developer security tooling.
  • Experience gathering requirements directly from engineers or other technical users and validating solutions with them.
  • Strong ability to translate user needs into clear requirements and prioritize MVP solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile environments and tools such as Jira and Confluence, and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional stakeholders, including engineering, security, and technology leadership.
  • Experience with developer portals or internal developer platforms, such as Backstage.
  • Strong ownership and execution skills, including creating product artifacts such as requirements, process flows, test plans, and roadmaps, and independently driving projects from concept through delivery.
  • Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or integrating AI agents with internal tools and data sources.
  • Familiarity with generative AI and AI-assisted development tools, such as AI coding assistants and LLM-based agents, including their capabilities, limitations, and risks.

Responsibilities

  • Own the product lifecycle for developer platform capabilities, from discovery through delivery, adoption, and iteration.
  • Define and drive the strategy for AI adoption among engineers, including evaluating, piloting, and rolling out AI-powered developer tools and workflows.
  • Partner with engineering teams across the company to understand workflows and pain points and define developer platform product strategy.
  • Prioritize initiatives and manage a roadmap aligned to engineering productivity goals, security and reliability needs, and platform evolution.
  • Elicit, document, and validate requirements with the DevEx team, aligning them with technical feasibility and scalable, maintainable solutions.
  • Drive adoption of platform tools and services through enablement, documentation, communication, and feedback loops with internal users.
  • Drive alignment across cross-functional teams and ensure clarity on priorities, scope, and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers throughout development and make tradeoff decisions as needed.
  • Define and track developer experience metrics, such as adoption, environment spin-up time, build and deploy times, and developer satisfaction; use data to inform decisions and continuous improvement.
