About The Position

Ironflow AI is building an AI-native ERP for aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing. The company is seeking a Product Manager to shape the experience of running a manufacturing company, focusing on how people and AI work together to eliminate complexity and give people back their time. This role is crucial for putting humans back at the center of building things, allowing them to focus more on production and less on system management.

Requirements

• Clear communication skills: ability to distill complex customer conversations into actionable problem statements.
• Customer-facing comfort: ability to conduct discovery, lead demos, and handle challenging questions.
• Bias for shipping: preference for releasing well-scoped versions and iterating based on feedback.
• Strong product judgment: ability to differentiate customer requests from underlying problems and define appropriate product solutions.
• Ability to learn complex systems quickly and reduce complexity into clear, usable forms.
• Analytical thinking and first-principles approach to decision-making, using customer evidence, data, and judgment.
• Attention to detail without losing sight of the larger customer outcome.
• Strong collaboration skills with engineers, including explaining problems, reasoning through tradeoffs, and engagement throughout the product lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on finance and accounting experience in manufacturing, or experience serving manufacturing clients through audit or advisory.
• Understanding of manufacturing economics (inventory valuation, costing, BOM/routing roll-ups, PPV, WIP, labor absorption, scrap, rework, GL).
• Fluency in core accounting operations (AP, AR, bank reconciliation, accruals, close, financial reporting).
• Experience with government contract accounting (job costing, indirect rates, DCAA timekeeping, CAS).
• Experience in an early-stage environment where product, process, and team were being built.
• Product management or adjacent experience in B2B SaaS, particularly in ERP, accounting, implementation, solutions consulting, or financial operations software.
• Experience implementing, administering, or replacing systems like NetSuite, Epicor, SAP Business One, Dynamics, or Acumatica.

Responsibilities

• Own the finance and accounting roadmap, setting priorities for the F&A product.
• Build core capabilities customers need today and identify future AI-native experiences.
• Use customer, market, and competitive insights to refine the roadmap.
• Design workflows where people and AI agents collaborate to eliminate manual work and improve decision-making.
• Understand customer problems by working directly with controllers, accountants, CFOs, and operators.
• Translate customer insights into clear product specifications, including problem statements, workflows, business rules, and acceptance criteria.
• Break down large capabilities into sequenced, shippable pieces for engineering.
• Ship and improve products by testing features, validating against customer scenarios, and gathering post-launch feedback.
• Build realistic test cases and demo data, write clear release notes, and stay close to customers after launch.
