Product Manager, Product Lifecycle

Tory Burch•Jersey City, NJ

About The Position

The Product Manager, Product Lifecycle is a business-facing product leader responsible for translating complex retail operating needs into clear, testable product requirements and coordinating delivery across internal engineering teams and enterprise software vendors. The role owns the technology roadmap for product lifecycle management and partners globally across Planning, Allocation, Buying, Pricing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Master Data, PLM, Engineering, and external vendors to improve tools and processes for managing foundational product information, inventory purchasing, and allocation. The position sets ownership boundaries across a broad portfolio, sequences work according to business impact, and distinguishes durable product investments from vendor-support and service-management work. It applies an iterative, outcome-based approach to discovery, prioritization, delivery, adoption, and measurement. The role also establishes effective roadmap governance, stakeholder forums, decision rights, user-feedback practices, and reusable standards for intake, prioritization, documentation, training, release communications, and vendor issue management.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in merchandise planning, allocation, retail inventory, demand forecasting, pricing, supply chain, PLM, or adjacent retail-operations domains.
  • 4+ years of product management, product owner, business systems, or comparable experience delivering enterprise technology products.
  • Demonstrated ability to own a complex cross-functional roadmap from discovery through delivery, adoption, and measurement.
  • Strong requirements, process-mapping, backlog-management, and agile delivery skills.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and roadmap tools.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, business executives, operational subject-matter experts, and external SaaS or service vendors.
  • Strong analytical judgment and comfort defining KPIs, interpreting data, and making transparent prioritization tradeoffs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Blue Yonder/JDA Allocation, S5 Stratos, SAP S/4 pricing, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Aptos, Centric PLM, or comparable retail platforms.
  • Experience managing AI/ML forecasting products or vendor-delivered analytics services.
  • Experience supporting global retail operations across multiple channels, currencies, and regions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a multi-quarter Merchandise Planning & Allocation roadmap spanning allocation, merchandise planning, forecasting, pricing, product data, and supply-chain change workflows.
  • Define product outcomes, success measures, scope, sequencing, and tradeoffs; keep the roadmap current and delivery work visible.
  • Prioritize investment based on business value, user impact, risk, effort, technical dependencies, and regional readiness.
  • Partner with planning, buying, pricing, merchandising, supply chain, master data, and technology teams to understand workflows, pain points, controls, and opportunities.
  • Translate discovery into problem statements, process flows, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans, and user acceptance testing approaches.
  • Define and monitor product, operational, quality, and adoption metrics, using qualitative and quantitative evidence to refine priorities.
  • Serve as the accountable business-product counterpart and coordinate delivery across internal engineering teams and enterprise software vendors.
  • Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily delivery coordination, UAT, release readiness, and post-launch measurement.
  • Identify risks and dependencies early, escalate decisions with clear options, and maintain a transparent decision log.
  • Reset roadmap governance through focused stakeholder forums, defined decision rights, purposeful user-feedback sessions, and reusable standards for intake, prioritization, documentation, training, release communication, and vendor issue management.
  • Improve stakeholder participation by tailoring forums and communications to the decisions each audience needs to make.
  • Work with Engineering, enterprise application owners, data teams, and vendor partners on data quality, attribute mapping, integrations, regional business variation, vendor release cycles, and operational change management.
