Workday•Pleasanton, CA
•$117,800 - $210,000•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Product Manager on Workday’s Financial Integrations team, you will build and own integrations across the Financials product suite. You will work with development teams, customers, implementers, and strategic industry partners to make Workday Financials more readily usable by connecting it to the external systems customers depend on. The role includes managing productized partner integrations from design through certification and launch, and supporting them after release. You will represent customer needs, understand industry- and region-specific requirements, set actionable product direction, and coordinate delivery across Workday, customers, and partners. You will also improve the integration development framework and apply AI to help generate and validate field mappings, accelerate development and deployment, guide customization, and monitor changes to file formats and regulations. You will define review practices for AI-generated output before it reaches customers. The role partners with engineering, QA, UX, Financials product teams, the Industry Ecosystems team, implementers, and field teams throughout design, development, testing, release, and maintenance. It also communicates roadmap, delivery status, and partner readiness to leadership, customers, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of product management experience defining and delivering SaaS and/or cloud-based enterprise software products or features.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline such as Business or Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience building scalable integrations between enterprise software applications and external systems, including working knowledge of integration platforms, REST APIs, and SOAP technologies.
  • Experience working directly with external software vendors, technology partners, or implementation partners on a shared technical deliverable.
  • Experience collaborating with developers, QA, and UX designers to deliver products that produce clear customer results.
  • Ability to collaborate across teams, communicate clearly, work through disagreements, and align engineering, partners, go-to-market, and neighboring product teams.
  • Ability to advocate for customers by understanding their needs, workflows, feedback, and support cases and bringing those insights into product decisions.
  • Ability to conduct research, including speaking with customers, reviewing file specifications and API contracts, evaluating other solutions, and using data to shape requirements.
  • Stakeholder management skills, including setting expectations, following up on specifications, communicating consistently, and keeping joint partner work moving.
  • Sound decision-making with incomplete information, the ability to weigh risks and evidence, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strategic thinking to identify reusable patterns and turn repeated custom work into configurable solutions.
  • Hands-on use of large language model or agent tooling in product work, such as prototyping, assessing output quality, or shipping a product with it; an understanding of where AI is useful for data transformation and where it is not.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with corporate finance or accounting at multinational organizations, or exposure to e-invoicing, tax compliance, or statutory reporting.
  • Interest or experience in working closely with file specifications, field mappings, and API contracts.
  • Experience experimenting with AI tooling and applying it to measurable product needs.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own Financials integrations, including setting portfolio direction and roadmaps, shaping solution designs, and overseeing ongoing support and improvement.
  • Define, prioritize, and deliver productized integrations with strategic industry partners, translating file specifications and API contracts into functional requirements and sequencing work against partnership and sales timelines.
  • Work with strategic partners, implementers, and the Industry Ecosystems team through integration design, development, certification, and launch; maintain specification standards, delivery schedules, and post-launch support models.
  • Own and improve the integration development framework, measuring development efficiency, deployment cost, and customer and implementer configurability, then addressing gaps across the range of supported integrations.
  • Apply AI across the integration lifecycle to generate and validate field mappings, accelerate development and deployment, guide implementer customization, and track changes to file formats and regulations; define review of AI-generated output before customer delivery.
  • Collaborate with Financials product teams to understand business context and customer workflows and ensure integrations help those products succeed.
  • Partner with engineering, QA, and UX through design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.
  • Communicate roadmap, delivery status, and partner readiness to product leadership, field teams, and customers; lead technical discussions and represent the product area in the Workday community and at Workday events.
