About the position
This role is within the Product organization at Kobalt, a leading music company that prioritizes creative freedom, transparency, ownership, and control for artists, songwriters, publishers, and labels. The Product organization consists of Product Management, Programme & Delivery Management, UX & Design, and Business Analysis functions, all working together to develop products and services for both B2C and B2B users. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing transformation of Kobalt's products and technology, driving business impact and process optimization. They should have a minimum of 3 years of Product Management experience, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and a proactive approach to identifying opportunities and delivering innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis to further the continuation of the transformation journey of products and technology
- Maximize business impact and process optimization across the business
- Seek out opportunities for new products or features, identifying problems and offering solutions
- Achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- Deliver products from early specification through to completion
- Evolve product strategy based on research, data, industry trends, and technology developments
- Familiarity with Agile methods and ability to promote new approaches in a changing, unstructured environment
- Share expertise and promote diversity while navigating a complex organization
- Engage and influence senior stakeholders and engineering colleagues
- Work with multiple stakeholders from different parts of the organization
- Hands-on experience with JIRA ticketing, feature specifications, feature prioritization, backlog refinement
- Data analytics skills (SQL, Tableau, Athena) are a plus
- Support and deliver technical product solutions
Requirements
- At least 3 years of Product Management experience
- Excellent problem-solving, organisational, technical writing and analytical skills
- Proactive product management; the drive to seek out opportunities for new products or features – identifying problems and offering solutions
- Demonstrated ability to achieve strategic goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
- A track record of delivering products from early specification through to completion
- Ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, industry trends and technology developments
- Familiarity with Agile methods and the ability to promote new approaches in a changing, unstructured environment would be highly desirable
- Ability to share expertise and promote diversity while navigating a complex organisation
- Diplomacy and gravitas to engage and influence senior stakeholders and engineering colleagues. Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders from different parts of the organisation
- Hands-on experience with JIRA ticketing, feature specifications, feature prioritisation, backlog refinement
- Data analytics skills is a plus (SQL, Tableau, Athena)
