DevSecOps Engineer

The job overview for this position is to join the Developer Platform team at Kobalt, a leading music company that uses technology to empower artists, songwriters, publishers, and labels. The team's focus is on delivering an exceptional development experience for the Engineering team while implementing best practices and creating guardrails to optimize system operations. The goal is to reduce costs, enhance security, shorten deployment lead times, and improve reliability. The team works with a tech stack that includes AWS, Kubernetes, CircleCI, Artifactory, X-Ray, Datadog, Cloudflare, and Terraform.

Delivering the best possible development experience to the Engineering team

Creating guardrails and evangelizing best practices for building and operating systems

Lowering cloud computing costs

Lowering maintenance costs

Increasing security profile

Shortening deployment lead times

Improving reliability

Deep experience in how to identify and manage vulnerabilities at the application and platform level

Experience with setting up security best practices

Strong experience with Cloud operations and infrastructure as code

Ability to work across multiple teams when required, through coaching and embedding as required

Ability to contribute to systems design
