Lead Product Manager

As a Lead Product Manager for Kobalt, you will play a crucial role in driving strategic thinking and outcomes across the business. You will work closely with the Leadership team and various stakeholders to bring user-centric products to life. This role is twofold, as you will be responsible for both current initiatives and future-proofing the company. Additionally, you will support the Head of Product in ensuring the right mix of skills within the teams and facilitating effective communication and collaboration. Overall, this role requires strong commercial acumen, influencing skills, and the ability to handle complex information.

Support the Leadership team with driving strategic thinking, discovery, and outcomes across the business

Work effectively with all other disciplines and stakeholders required to bring user-centric products to life

Lead people through tough business problems and strategy

Handle a breadth of information and communicate exceptionally

Be across programs of work as well as strategic initiatives across the business

Ensure the right mix of skills in the teams

Participate in the organizational structures needed to enable the larger team to stay organized and execute with autonomy

Identify possible collisions and proactively fix them by mediating between teams and finding mutual solutions

Be the go-to person for all strategic and tactical concerns on the product and business area

Drive decisions to resolution, including the decision to cancel or pivot the entire product

Provide analysis to further the transformation of products and technology

Maximize business impact and process optimization across the business

Have experience working as a Product Leader within the music industry (or comparable industry)

Understand how the music industry operates and the aspects of catalogue management, royalty processing, and the end-to-end journey of how music publishing works

Have a passion for creating clarity out of large, complex areas

Work with an array of stakeholders from Creatives to deeply technical dev

• Extensive knowledge of product management methodologies and experience in solving complex tech, product, and business problems
• Ability to lead on both strategy and execution, providing leadership to product managers and driving change across the business
• Strong skills in change management, documentation, and communication
• Ability to provide strategic analysis to senior stakeholders and drive decision making and analytical thinking
• Experience in working with product roadmaps and aligning product goals with business objectives
• Ability to conduct risk analysis and assess scope of work
