About the position
The Assistant in Writer & Publisher Relations at Kobalt is responsible for providing administrative support to the team and managing client accounts. They handle various administrative tasks, respond to client queries, and ensure that all relevant information is obtained for new agreements. The Assistant also maintains and optimizes client account information and collaborates with the Operations department for the accurate production and distribution of client royalty statements. Strong organization, communication, and fluency in English and Spanish are required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Kobalt Writer and Publisher Relations team with scheduled administrative tasks
- Respond to queries from Kobalt's clients via Zendesk, prioritizing Kobalt's LatAm clients
- Ensure that Kobalt has all relevant information concerning existing compositions prior to signing new agreements
- Assist with client agreement onboarding and catalog ingestion
- Maintain and optimize client account information for efficient catalog registration, royalty collection, and ongoing administration
- Work cross-functionally with Kobalt's Operations department to support the accurate production and distribution of client royalty statements
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of Kobalt's services, internal systems, and operations
- Preferably have previous music administration and/or music publishing experience
- Possess strong organization and prioritization skills, able to remain calm under pressure and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Fluent in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Be an adaptable team player, confident working in a fast-paced and evolving environment
- Display a high level of trust and integrity, as exposed to confidential information and material.
Requirements
- Previous music administration and/or music publishing experience preferred
- Strong organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and complete tasks accurately and efficiently
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Adaptable team player
- High level of trust and integrity
