About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Performs produce merchandising tasks, including stocking, pricing, inventory, and special orders. Ensures displayed products are fresh and of high quality, and accurately fulfills customer special orders and deliveries. Maintains an organized workstation and follows sanitation, safety, and company policies. May train or work in other departments and perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service, including smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customers.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized workstation according to 5S standards.
Prepare produce for display; stock and price products; and create special produce platters to order.
Ensure that displayed products are fresh and of high quality; remove substandard products and report them to the Produce Manager or first clerk.
Rotate and examine perishable products to ensure proper quality, code, and condition.
Follow corporate and state sanitation and safety regulations and company policy.
Accurately fulfill customer special orders, such as vegetable and fruit platters.
Replenish bulk food displays, including island and wall displays.
Operate produce equipment, including product weight scales, juice machines, and pineapple machines.
Control shrink by following related policies and procedures.
Be available to train and work in other departments as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by management and adhere to company policies and procedures.
