About The Position

Save More Food Market in Minocqua, Wisconsin, is hiring a full-time Produce Associate to help provide customers with fresh, high-quality fruits and vegetables in a clean, organized, and well-stocked department. The role involves stocking and rotating produce, maintaining displays and storage areas, inspecting product quality, receiving deliveries, following food-safety practices, and assisting customers. The employer is willing to train the right person. The position requires working on your feet and handling physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and may involve refrigerated areas and varying temperatures. Full-time employment with consistent scheduling is offered; availability for weekends and some holidays is required.

Requirements

Must be dependable, punctual, and maintain consistent attendance.
Must be able to work a full-time schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Ability to work in refrigerated areas and varying temperatures.
Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding product freshness, quality, and presentation.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to follow food-safety, sanitation, and company policies.
Willingness to work as part of a team and assist wherever needed.

Previous grocery retail or produce experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Stock, rotate, and replenish fresh produce throughout the day.
Maintain attractive, organized, and fully stocked displays.
Inspect products for freshness and quality, removing damaged or unsellable items.
Receive deliveries, organize backstock, and maintain proper storage conditions.
Keep the department, coolers, and work areas clean and organized.
Follow food-safety, sanitation, and product-rotation procedures.
Assist customers with questions and product selections.
Help minimize product waste and shrink through proper handling and rotation.
Work efficiently to complete daily department tasks and support team goals.
Maintain dependable, punctual attendance and assist the team wherever needed.
