About The Position

At Rosauers Supermarkets, the Produce Associate helps bring fresh produce to customers by preparing, packaging, and displaying fruits and other produce items. The role focuses on quality, freshness, organization, and customer service, helping customers find produce and enjoy a positive shopping experience. The employee maintains a clean and safe work environment, follows health and safety regulations, and works collaboratively with other team members.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Knowledge of and passion for produce.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Complete a pre-employment background check.
• Obtain a current food workers card once employed, where applicable.
• Regularly lift, carry, and push up to 50 pounds.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet customers and help them locate produce items.
• Answer customers’ questions about produce and provide recommendations.
• Wash, peel, cut, and package fresh produce.
• Stock and rotate produce.
• Check the freshness of displayed fruits and vegetables and ensure produce is fresh.
• Remove items that fail quality standards or show signs of spoilage.
• Monitor inventory and help keep produce displays well-stocked.
• Stay informed about current, future, seasonal, and special advertisements in the produce department.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow health and safety regulations.
• Work with other team members to provide a seamless customer experience.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
