About The Position

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Prepares, bakes, and merchandises bakery products under the direct supervision of the bakery manager or first clerk to promote sales. Maintains a clean and sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations. The role assists with bakery operations in a retail store, including product preparation, baking, merchandising, and final presentation. It also involves helping with customer special orders, such as cake orders, operating bakery equipment, following safety and sanitation standards, and controlling shrink by adhering to related policies and procedures. Other duties may be assigned by management. The posting states that pay is based on experience but does not specify a pay amount.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Strong communication skills.
Basic literacy skills.

Responsibilities

Assist with bakery operations, including preparation, baking, merchandising, and final presentation of bakery products.
Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers when fulfilling their requests.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work station according to 5S standards.
Assist with or create customer special orders, such as cake orders.
Operate bakery department equipment, including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
Follow corporate and state sanitation regulations and maintain a clean work area.
Follow applicable corporate and state safety standards.
Control shrink by adhering to related policies and procedures.
Perform other related duties as assigned by management and follow company policies and procedures.
