About The Position
The Bakery Teammate provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to Price Chopper customers. Under the direct supervision of the bakery manager or first clerk, this role prepares, bakes, and merchandises bakery products to support sales and maintains a clean, sanitized work station in accordance with corporate and state sanitation regulations.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Strong communication skills.
- Basic literacy skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist with bakery operations in the retail store, including preparing, baking, merchandising, and presenting bakery products.
- Provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service.
- Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers when fulfilling their requests.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work station according to 5S standards.
- Assist with or create customer special orders, such as cake orders.
- Operate bakery department equipment, including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
- Follow corporate and state sanitation regulations and maintain a clean work area.
- Follow state and corporate safety standards.
- Control shrink by adhering to related policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties assigned by management and follow company policies and procedures.
