Responsibilities

Develop merchandising game plans and planograms for the department in conjunction with the Buying team.
Supervise and perform departmental inventories to ensure accuracy and thoroughness.
Train team members in store policies, department procedures, product knowledge, and job duties to promote productive and safe work.
Assign duties to team members and schedule breaks, work hours, and vacations according to business needs and upcoming store events.
Understand retail label systems and communicate with Scan, General Management, and/or Buying teams to ensure correct pricing.
Assume the Department Manager’s responsibilities when necessary.
Communicate with Buying and GM teams about merchandising, new product implementation, and appropriate pricing, and promptly follow directions.
Coordinate vendor invoices, SKH invoices, and inter-company transfers daily to support timely billing.
Work as a manager while performing tasks needed for smooth division operations.
Maintain knowledge of current inventories and ordering systems to assist with ordering supplies and merchandise from approved vendors.
Maintain and operate departmental equipment.
